We are committed to providing a high quality tune for your skis and snowboards and doing it in a manner that reflects our strong believe in sustainability. Below you will find a few of the ways that Colorado Ski Tunes is committed to maintaining a healthy and sustainable relationship with our environment.

Clean Burning Biodiesel Fueled Trucks
We purchase clean burning biodiesel and use it to fuel our delivery trucks. By using renewable fuels, but are lowering our dependency on fossil fuels.

High Efficiency Lighting
Our shop is illuminated by highly efficient, low wattage light. This not only reduces our energy consumption, but also eliminates the waste created by burned out bulbs. Also our shop and office is wrapped in energy efficient windows, allowing us to operate under the full light of the sun creating less need for electrical light.

Wind Power
We have been purchasing wind energy from Xcel energy for the past year. This energy powers 100% of our shop, office, and our machines.

Recycled Materials
When we built our shop we used as much recycled and reclaimed materials as possible. The wood used to build our racks and our benches all came from a lumber recycling yard or was scrap wood reclaimed from a local dumpster. The rack system in our trucks also uses recycled and reclaimed tracking taken from old garage doors.

Digital
Because we are web based we have reduced the need for paper in our office. Our work lists are all displayed digitally, thus eliminating the need for our techs to print out work orders. What paper is used in the office is recycled locally.

Uniforms
Our techs are all wearing shirts printed on 100% organic cotton. Also the ink used to print the shirts is organically manufactured.
Colorado Ski Tunes understands that these steps are very small in comparison to what can be done. Rest assured we are continuing to grow and are always looking at ways to become even more sustainable. We are looking at installing Solar Power to allow us to go "off Grid", we are also looking into a recycled wax program. We do a lot to create as sustainable environment as possible, but also acknowledge that there is much more work to be done.
